The Stakeholder Alliance consists of 30 to 50 individuals drawn from all sections of the supply chain and support organisations who act as a reference point and encourage the involvement of a wide range of stakeholders whom they co-ordinate and represent.
Functions
Principal Responsibilities of Members of the Stakeholder Alliance
- They provide ARM's Board of Directors with high-level advice on strategy and policies.
- They provide advice and opinions on issues that may affect ARM’s ability to implement its programme and achieve its specific goals.
- They provide advice and recommendations to ARM's Technical Committee on ARM Standards for Responsible Mining, including:
- Applicability of the Standards to specific contexts
- Interpretation of the Standards
- Changes to the wording of the Principles and Criteria
- They nominate candidates to ARM's Board of Directors, the Technical Committee and other relevant bodies
