A Guide to Responsible Artisanal and Small Scale Mining
The GOLDEN VEIN is the basis on which Standard Zero for Fairtrade Artisanal
Gold was developed. It is a publication of collective authorship by miners,
academics, NGOs, officials, jewellers and retailers, involved in the RESPOMIN
Latin-American network. The publication gathers the Quirama Vision and an
explanation of the principles of responsible ASM. It is intended mainly
for artisanal and small scale gold mining, but is applicable to all types
of ASM. The Golden Vein is mainly directed to men and women miners, ASM
support organisations and public officials. ARM authorises its free publication
and dissemination.
